Dr. Brenda Wong MD - Neurologist

Dr. Wong received her medical degree from the National University of Singapore and was board certified in Pediatrics in the U.K. (MRCP in Pediatrics). She completed her fellowship training in neurology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and continued to direct the Comprehensive Neuromuscular Center there for 19 years. Driven by the opportunity to focus more fully on her passion — Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies — Dr. Wong relocated to Massachusetts in May 2018 to become the founding director of the Duchenne Program. “It has been a dream of mine to have a clinic and research program that is fully dedicated to this disease and research into treatments and a cure. We are committed to providing seamless, full-spectrum care for everyone from infants to adults with Duchenne.”

Dr. Rober J. McDonald, MD - ENT

Dr. Robert J. Mcdonald known in Duchenne community simply as "Bob" is the compassionate father of 9 children, including his very special youngest son, Mark, diagnosed with DMD at age 2 by Bob himself. He is a practicing ENT surgeon in the USA. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and performed biomedical research at the University of Missouri, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Cornell University Medical College.
He served for 6 years on the BOD and is the immediate past chairman of Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. He served from 2011 to 2015 as the Chairman of Board on the scientific advisory board of PPMD and is a reviewer for the U.S. Dept of Defense DMD Research Program.

Bob joined the Scientific Advisory Board of Duchenne UK in 2016. He also has experience in clinical science research and serves on various advisory and review boards of Duchenne foundations and in the pharmaceutical industry regarding drug development in Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies.
To the DMD community, Bob is known as a humble human being and a compassionate father, we are very excited to have Bob as the new member of Hope for Luka Inc. Clinician Advisory Board.
